Toronto’s Avling Kitchen & Brewery were the featured guests on Episode 65 of the podcast. It was a super interesting chat in which they talked in detail about their ethos not only as a brewery, but also as a restaurant, and as gardeners. How they choose their ingredients is an important part of every segment of their business. As such, their restaurant menu is as unique as their beer lineup. They are strong believers in using local ingredients, but are meticulous in that it has to make sense with what they want to create, which is to say that they won’t develop a recipe to be “local for local’s sake”.

We'll be focusing this entire season on Link Up, a non-profit started by the good folks behind Microbrasserie 5e Baron in Aylmer, QC and Tiffany and Cee here at BAOS and High Season Co.
Read MoreWhat a wild first year it’s been for Aylmer, QC’s Cinquième Baron Microbrasserie. They opened their doors on May 13, 2020, already deep in the throes of the pandemic, and have been navigating these turbulent waters ever since. Read MoreIt's been quite the run for the live Quarantine Edition of our ongoing Adjunct Series, and tonight, we wrapped it up with a bang. Longtime followers would know that our trip to Virginia in 2019 was a memorable one, where we travelled for a week from the northern part of the state all the way down to Virginia Beach, and we truly loved our experience. One thing we've been missing during the pandemic is those fire Virginia beers, so we were stoked to hang out with the boys behind Virginia Beer Co.
Read MorePodcasting is an interesting endeavour. The things you think folks will love don't always resonate, and the things you think are mid end up over-performing. An example of the latter are the pods where Cee just hangs with a co-host for a bit of a chin wag with our rotating schedule of guests like Scott, Tiffany, Noah or Nate. These episodes always perform the best, so we're delivering for y'all.
Read MoreOttawa is Canada's capital city, and in the past few years it has truly become synonymous with craft beer. One of the OG breweries in the city is Bicycle, who kicked things off in 2014 when husband and wife team Fariborz and Laura Behzadi opened up their own space after wanting something of their own to work on together. We've been fortunate enough to try a few of their beers over the last year and change, but finally we got to hang out with the folks behind the brews.

Read MoreFrom our ~250 podcasts over the years, it feels like the ultimate goal of most brewers is to control the entire process from grain to glass. The team behind Brasserie La Ferme are already living the dream with their property in Shefford, QC, with over 100 acres of land where they grow hops, a variety of cereals, fruits and berries, and they even have a company running an apiary in the backyard. While it may not be possible to grow literally everything they need, they're off to a fantastic start.
Read MoreWe say it over and over, but our favourite place on earth is Vermont, and the one thing about this whole pandemic thing that we're missing the most is our regular trips south of the border. Come to think of it, we haven't even had a brewery from VT on the pod - until now.
Read MoreThe guests on Season 9, Episode 60 of the podcast were an Ontario brewery that I’d been aware of since I started having a presence on beer social media around five years ago, but had not had a chance to try until now.
